Beadnell, on the north Northumberland coast, with its church dedicated to St Ebba, can trace the connection back to a previous 13th century church, dedicated to St Ebba, the exposed foundations of which can be seen at Ebb's Nook.

A modern scholar could only trace the dedication of St Ebba at Ebchester in North Durham to a doubtful 13th century story.
